Legendary Hall of Famer Gordie Howe is the only person to play professional hockey in six different decades. Nicknamed "Mr. Hockey, "Gordie Howe is the only player in hockey history to appear in professional games across six different decades: the 1940s, 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. Howe first began his career with the Detroit Red Wings in 1946. After briefly retiring in 1971, Howe returned to play alongside his sons in the World Hockey Association before finishing his NHL career with the Hartford Whalers. In 1997, at age 69, he signed a one-day contract with the Detroit Vipers, becoming the only person to play professional hockey in six separate decades.

16 bonus years. Today marks my 16th year anniversary of surviving what the doctors said should have been a fatal heart attack, through the grace of God, I am still here. 3 major miracles happened that day.
#1 - I was on Loop 820, eastbound at Holiday lane. For those that do not travel this part of the loop, it is always bumper to bumper. I was in the far left lane and at the last possible second, I decided to exit across four lanes of traffic and drive myself to the hospital, there was not a single car behind me. I did not have the "Hollywood" heart attack, no chest pain, no jaw pain, no sickness, just felt that something was wrong.
2,when I walked in the hospital, the nurse could tell I was in serious trouble, she asked for my name and social number, then I hit the floor. They got some oxygen in me and asked for Kim's contact info, they then told me I was having a life threatening heart attack and they were going to try and save my life, I asked them to try hard!.
