In Olympics History -
On July 18, 1976, fourteen-year-old Romanian gymnast Nadia Comăneci made history at the Montreal Summer Olympics by earning the first perfect score of 10.0 on the uneven bars. The achievement was so unprecedented that the scoreboard, programmed to display a maximum of 9.95, mistakenly flashed 1.00. Nadia managed to repeat this feat seven times in her gymnastics career.
