We’re keeping it low-key with friends for an early Easter brunch. I’m bringing, everything homemade,blueberry scones with lemon curd and vanilla ice cream… to be paired with a Bakery-bought pie. Yes, I said it—high end bakery-bought pie. Pie-making confidence level: still hovering somewhere below “crumble.”

Move to Florida to be closer to my brother so we can help each other as we get older (doctor appointments, etc.)
Moving out closer to the grandkids isn't necessarily an option. Word on the family corner is that my youngest said to my older son, "Now it's your turn to take care of mom."
Mind you, I never asked or expected help. He lived here for a few years before and after his 5 years in the Marines. I didn't ask for financial help. I simply asked him to keep the garage clean and mow the lawn. I thought it was a fair deal. He did have to take me to the hospital for a colonoscopy, herniated disc and shoulder replacement.
