“How Soon We Forget”
By RobertDuChemin
During the 1960s and 1970s many of the problems of the United States centered around New York City. The city was an example of failed communism. It was deeply in debt, had horrible crime problems, was covered in trash, and its citizens had given up on government. What few people realize, however, is that it was the communist policies from the 1960s that caused the problems.
The payroll for New York City had exploded so that, per capita, they had more city employees than any other city in the free world. They were also in a state that had more state employees, per capita, than any other state and all but five countries in the free world.
To start this year, New York installed a mayor who vowed to follow the same ideology that led to NYC’s bankruptcy in 1975. Did they not learn anything?
In the city’s defense, most of the people living there now did not live there in 1975 so they do not have first-hand knowledge of the devastation. Heck, only about 3% of the people living in Queens were alive and living in the United States in 1975.
Therefore, their lack of knowledge is the result of a poor education. Everybody in New York should have been taught the dangers of communism in high school so that the city did not return down the same path to hell. Instead, teachers lied to their students and guided them back down that path.
The new mayor might have understood the dangers of communism if he had ever held a job in his life. That is right, when he put his hand on the Quran to swear his oath, Zohran Mamdani was starting the first full-time job of his life. This is a prescription for disaster.
Like most trust-fund liberals, he does not have any new solutions. Mamdani’s use of the term “warmth of collectivism,” is not original. It was first used by Vladimir Lennon and also used by Fidel Castro and Nikita Khrushchev, among many others.
Did I mention that Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini both claimed to be democratic socialists? Nice group.

When NYC went bankrupt in 1975, the Democrat-held United States Congress passed a bill for the US government to bail out the city with billions of dollars in gifts. President Ford vetoed the bill.
In a speech to the National Press Conference on October 29, 1975, he promised that the federal government would not bail out New York City because it was NYC’s own fault for following communist policies that had a 100% failure rate throughout history. The headline in the New York Daily News the next day said, “Ford to NYC: Drop dead!” The headline reverberated around the country even though President Ford said the headline was “inaccurate and untrue.” It did not matter. As a result of the headline, President Ford reached his highest favorability rating and popularity during his entire presidency. The rest of the country did not want to bail out communist New York City.
The sentiment in the country today is just as much against using our money to fund the overgrown, communist New York government. We need to be careful, however. Just 14 months after President Ford gave his famous yet misquoted speech, Jimmy Carter was inaugurated and federal money was on its way to reward New York communists for running their city into bankruptcy. There is no reason to expect a different result should the demons regain control of the federal government.
Per capita, NYC has almost twice as many employees as Miami. New York State has 470,000 more state employees than Florida, yet a smaller population. Like all communist states, they are dependent on other people to pay the salaries of their incompetent government.
The State of New York currently receives so many federal handouts that, as a whole, the state receives more than double the amount of federal money given to Florida. Yet, New York still runs a budget deficit of about $3 billion a year. If Florida received the same amount of federal money as does New York, Florida would not have any property taxes or sales taxes in addition to no income taxes.
It is time for New York to pay for its own stupidity.

Minnesota also is a prime example of the problem with a communist government. We will discuss it this week.

The mystery at Tractor Supply has finally been solved!
On Black Friday, November 28th, I went there to take advantage of a great sale price and use my $10 birthday gift from them. I ended up buying a Carhartt shirt and donating a little money to the Future Farmers of America. While in a long line, a lady came up to me with a portable device to let me pay with my card. She tried a few times, but no luck, so I went to the regular cashier. The total bill was $12.79
When I checked my card balance a few days later, I had that charge, plus one for $57.21.
I contacted the store, and they told me to call Customer Solutions, which I did on December 1st. They took the info and assigned a reference # to me.
On the 4th, I called back and they said the Sales Audit Team was backlogged and they would send an e-mail to me, which they did. I called them 3 more times, and sent 3 e-mails to them, but with no luck.
Today, I got hold of John there, and he did a deep dive into the problem. ...
