Watched the Vikings play a Yuge don't'-care game with the Lions. The Vikes win 23 to 10, they are 8-8 and the Lions lose and are 8-8. Bud Grant used to say that's like kissing your sister. Gets you nowhere. But the real treat was at half-time seeing SnoopDog sing 'White Christmas'. Wait, what???
Merry Christmas to my awesome gutter-buds! I want to thank the people who sent me kindest regards and thoughts and prayers, had a really nice Christmas (and was able to use certain techniques to calm down when I was having panic attacks.) On December 6 I took a tour of the local memory care facility, then introduced the concept to my mother; it has been a whirlwind of activity, and finally on December 20 the family and I were able to move our beloved grandmother and mother into assisted living. Both my sister and I feel so very much better. A great weight has been lifted off our shoulders, knowing that our mother is safe and well cared for. It's been a beautiful holiday. Mother is a Christmas birthday so we open gifts in the morning and then celebrated with cake in the afternoon.
