Iāve seen the Tom Cruise movies.
I tried reading the books, they were awful.
As a former Police officer (Federal and Local), I see all the holes from the Law Enforcement side of the stories. I got no further than the first 100 pages, when I realized the author wasnāt even an American.
I looked him up, heās a Brit.
Iām not impressed in the least with the character āJack Reacherā.
We were on a Viking Cruise of the Aegean and Mediterranean seas, with My Big Brother, and his beautiful wife.
You may find this hard to believe, but when he and I go anywhere together, we kind of āstand outā.
Heās not as large as I, but heās still 6ā, 230 lbs. As a former Naval Officer, he is a commanding presence in his own right. When we are together, folks stop and stare.
During this trip, I was involved in multiple āincidentsā. Surprise, surprise, yes, I know.
Several gentlemen tried picking fights, and I became known aboard ship, as āZeusā.
Total strangers on the ship would say;
