Ricotta in Progress. New Year's Cannoli Underway.

Starting the New Year with Ina Garten's ricotta cheese recipe. I will let it sit in the cheese cloth overnight to make sure I get a nice, thick creamy ricotta cheese for my New Year cannolis.
What are you making for New Years?

Things are getting fun around here. Christmas night my parents refrigerator gave up so they woke up to a puddle in the kitchen. We saved the food in the fridge but had to toss the stuff in the freezer part. My brother went to get a new one today, 370 mile round trip, and I am getting a path cleared and the old one out.
I also got a call from the town hall saying I used 60,000 gallons of water since last Tuesday. So I got to probe the ground along the water line trying to find mud. That much water should have came to the surface but we can't find any evidence of a leak outside or in the house. That means either their meter is goofy (not likely as it is mechanical) or a pipe popped under my floor.
Might be February before I can get someone with a backhoe to do some digging. Water is turned off until then. Good thing I live a quarter mile from my parents so I can shower and all that other fun stuff there.

Oh and I also had a flat tire and my printer isn't working. And I suspect even though...
