Scooter update

Well, after hanging at the HD dealer for an hour, they didn’t have all of the required parts.
They are missing heat resistant washers, and they had to order them. Taking it back next Thursday.
Unfortunately they have a special for the month of February wherein if you buy ‘bling parts’ they install them free.
I’ll probably get my heated grips replaced, if they are covered in the special. Almost half of their cost (installed) is the labor. Mine are dead and I use them. They would have been nice on the ride up from Pensacola in December. It was 27 F when we arrived at the rig.
Fortunately the brace is there to help with engine torque. So it’s not dangerous to ride, it just ‘rattles’ sometimes.

I’ve only ridden about 2000 miles on this new high performance engine. It’s a ‘touring bike’ for a reason. My days of showing my ass hot rodding are over (for the most part 😉). So I don’t ’get down’ on it regularly. Especially when I could get the shit slapped out of me.
On our recent trip, we discovered that my scoot will now pop a wheelie.
Well, I rode to the dealer and back yesterday.
It likes to ‘stand up’ going from first to second, and second to third.
I’ve to be careful on the clutch and throttle, otherwise, it’s a rocket with seats.
And a bad ass sound system.
