Last night Greg mentioned El Caminos, then ‘cruisin’ The El’. From 1976 to 1979, I participated in the muscle car parade on The El Camino Real in San Mateo, and later in Santa Clara. It ran up and down the peninsula in the Bay Area, hot spots were San Mateo to San Bruno, and Santa Clara. National Cruise Nights were unbelievable. Photo taken in San Mateo, Heidi’s Pies on the right is a local favorite.
