"EXCITED UTTERANCE". For all you non lawyers who've never heard this term, it's an exception to the hearsay evidence rule. It's a statement made by a person in response to a startling or shocking event or condition, or an unplanned reaction to a "startling event". In other words, it was something a person said that can be assumed to be true based on the circumstances. I can't think of a more shocking event than being shot in the face. And how did Trump respond? He immediately stood up and shouted "Fight!" That was not a calculated response, that was a character response!
