We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary yesterday.
It entailed the usual cards (with scratch-offs from the cats) and dinner at Greg Norman's Australian Grille.
When we got done eating, I asked the Frau "Do you actually think I should get by with a few cards, lotto tickets, and dinner to celebrate our 50th anniversary?"
She said all was good. Then I pulled the ring out of my pocket with the explanation on the scroll.

The blue sapphire:
Signifies the birth of our marriage in September.
It is “natural” since our fit together is such.
The circular shape designates our never-ending love.
The star indicates your love that guides me.
The white gold band:
Expresses the purity of our love.
The five diamonds:
Show how clear our love shines.
Denote the five decades we’ve been married."
The tears started rolling, and I told her I wasn't serving her divorce papers. 🤣
Send help......and a storage unit. He kept the m'fer a secret. Maybe I should come home with a pair of $1000 shoes.
