What a blast getting to go to the 8/28taping of G! !!
When we all were in the holding room it cracked me up that even though we were in the FoxNews bldg, it had the same not so great reception, just like at home, hahaha, but I get it, like moi at me. it's in the basement....
I was surprised at how small the studio is, it appears so much more spacious from the TV camera angles, but Greg appeared exactly as expected ;)
Staring at the shelves stage-right nostalgia stuff we're got stuck on the 2 dolls figures near the top, maybe Jerry Mahoney?? I think they were Alfred E Neumann... they reminded me of a Doctor Doolittle wind-up doll I had in '67...
LOVED Gene Nelson, he is soooooo entertaining, so multi-talented, he was the sealant that keeps it all tight and together!! He could do his own show, NOT that I am suggesting that at all... (maybe I am?!) but HUGE kudos to him, especially during the commercial breaks!!
The show was GREAT!!! I was happily surprised w/Griff, and Rob was great too, loved the M.Div joke threaded through!! And of course Jamie and Kat, seeing them live is a head trip, I wish we had been able to sit more towards the center, we were kind of behind Kat & Jamie...
I wish I lived in NY so I could go more often. My friend Sharon who went w/me is a breast cancer survivor, she spent a long time at Sloan Kettering the past year, Kat has been a GIGANTIC influence on her!!
The only complaint I have, and it's minor, is I wish during the commercials they didn't blast the music so loud that we couldn't hear GG & co on what they were talking about, it felt like a bit of a wall was up, then as they all left the stage it looked like they were doing a fire drill. But there's probably a reason for that.
