I had a complete hysterectomy when I was 46. The military wouldn't put me on hormone replacement because I smoked cigarettes. They put me on a low-dose antidepressant. It was tough. Really, really tough.
I still got up at 0315 after I recovered, commuted, worked and got home by 6:00 p.m.
You know what I didn't do? Kill my kids, even though sometimes they were adolescent assholes.
