Mini-Rant time! Apologize in advance.

I had an ephiphany a while back. Somebody asks me to do something, but I am comfortable in my little cocoon. And what am I actually doing? Something useful? Hate to say this gang, but often the answer is reading posts on The Gutter or playing Candy Crush Friends(currently level 7299! 😎😧😖) And I ask myself what would it hurt to get up and do it?

So why not cook dinner, do some laundry, or fix a wheel on something, or wash windows or the car. Put on some music or turn the TV up load enough to hear it while you are working. Put on a movie you know by heart so when you hear the good part coming up you can go in and watch. Your time is valuable if you are doing something valuable with it...but to simply say "My time is valuable" to yourself or other people while you are sitting on your ass doing nothing is a lie.

If you want something done, ask a busy person to do it. Half the battle is getting off your duff and getting started. Remember the words of Mary Poppins..."well begun is halfway done" and just as important is the other advice from Mary Poppins...make what you are doing a game...find the fun.

I wrote this in reponse to all the people who complain about restaurant food that is delivered is too expensive. I know damn well they are not cleaning the house...they are doing nothing! Get up and MAKE DINNER. Plan some cheap ones...pasta is a good start.

Bonus-and when you do sit down to "do nothing", you will have that sense of accomplishment of comes with getting something done.

Anyway, off to clean refrigerator coils.
