Found this on LinkedIn from two days ago.
While driving their regular route in Plaquemine, Dion Merrick and Brandon Antoine spotted a vehicle matching the description from an active Amber Alert. They didn’t ignore it.
They used their garbage truck to block the vehicle from escaping, called 911, and kept the suspect contained until deputies arrived. Inside the vehicle, authorities found the missing girl alive.
The suspect, Michael Sereal, was taken into custody and charged with aggravated kidnapping.
Merrick and Antoine were later honored by the Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office for their courage and quick thinking.
