A Monday Morning Devotion
Philippians 4:6,7 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus!”
Psalm 34:4,5 “I sought the Lord, and He answered me and rescued me from all my fears and anxieties. Those who look to Him are radiant with Joy!”
John 14:27 “Peace is what I leave with you; it is My own peace that I give you. I do not give it as the world does. Do not be worried and upset; do not be afraid!”
Psalms 40:2 “He lifted me out of the ditch, pulled me from deep mud. He stood me up on a solid rock to make sure I wouldn’t slip!”
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we praise Your Holy name this morning and give You thanks Father, today is Monday and already we are thinking about and planning our week ahead of us and anxiety, a sense of urgency, and frustration to get things done has already started. Father, please slow us down and remind us that this day, this moment, this week belongs to You, Your plans and Your will and not ours. Forgive us Lord if we are running ahead of You. Help us Jesus to “Stand Still”, “Sit Still” and “Be Still”! Amen

Morning Gutter Gang on this gorgeous Monday. Had a surprise visitor here at Casa de Tegarty yesterday afternoon; my daughter dropped by for a visit. Always a pleasure, but this visit was her alone with no kids. 😒 Next time probably.
But she wanted some adult time to visit with us, especially after Claire had some issues this past week. And the added bonus of a late afternoon visit was that I got out of cooking--I ordered out for pizza, wings and salad. Always a crowd pleaser. Plus my son was here--it was like old home week.
Anyhow, have to get the dogs fed before my walk so as I often do, I have a song to share to get you scooting and keep you scotting cross the floor this morn. Some power pop from The Records, "Starry Eyes"
