Gentlemen - Start your engines - RoomaZoomZoom History:

On July 22, 1894, the world’s first-ever automobile competition, the Paris-Rouen Trial, took place covering a distance of 126 kilometers (78.3 miles) in France. Organized by the Parisian newspaper Le Petit Journal, it was an endurance and reliability test rather than an outright speed race.

The event was designed to prove that horseless carriages were safe, easy to operate, and affordable for the general public. After four days of preliminary qualifying runs that drew 102 entries, 21 vehicles lined up on the starting line.

While Count Jules-Albert de Dion’s steam-powered tractor was the first to cross the finish line in Rouen, he was disqualified because his vehicle required a stoker, which violated the competition's requirement for a practical, driver-friendly car. As a result, the judges split the principal 10,000-franc prize between Peugeot and Panhard-Levassor, as their petrol-powered engines were deemed the most practical and...

✨why do I think the cyclosporiasis🦠 is another Chinese dump on us like Covid? Just in time for the World Cup , just as we put the squeeze on resuming bombing in Iran, we probably decimated some of the Mexican cartel stuff, am I wrong??????? I mean is it that far fetched to think someone got through with it somehow and did this intentionally? I’m just so jaded, I find it hard to believe they are telling us everything😼✨

A fun annual observance!

NATIONAL RAT CATCHER'S DAY

National Rat Catcher's Day on July 22 commemorates the story of the Pied Piper of Hamelin. We are using this day as an opportunity to thank all present-day exterminators for doing a job most people wouldn't want to do--catching rats.

#NationalRatCatchersDay

Historically, a rat catcher was a person who, well, caught rats. However, it was not a profession for the weak. In fact, being a rat catcher was dangerous because the catcher would enter unsanitary and dirty establishments and catch rats and mice. With a little luck, the rat catcher would avoid disease in the process.

A Legend of Dispute

According to the folktale, residents of the German town of Hamelin hired a strangely dressed man to rid their village of rats. The Pied Piper of Hamelin did so by playing his flute. Upon finishing the task, the townsfolk refused to pay — so the Pied Piper returned. Once again, the Pied Piper played his flute while the children followed him. And with the Pied ...

Wow. 15 years of the Five. I miss when the lefty seat was occupied by Bob Beckel. I disagreed with 99 percent of his views. But he loved this country. He loved our troops. He loved kids and Halloween. And I’m pretty sure he’d have been banished from today’s democrat party. He’s the only democrat who’s book I actually wanted to read. Not like the insufferable Juan and Geraldo. Definitely not Tarlov. And not even Harold “both sides” Ford.

Bob was wrong as usual. 😂😂:
