Weekend Warm Up

The Supreme Court handed down another wave of decisions on their way to the end of their term next Tuesday. In Monsanto v. Durnell, the high court set aside a state court judgment. The plaintiff was dying of cancer after using Monsanto‘s Roundup for more than 20 years on a regular basis. Because a federal regulation preempted a state requirement that Monsanto disclose Roundup could cause cancer, the state case should have been dismissed, according to the Supremes. This is a good example of how the federal government has taken control of all of commerce. It is a blow to the personal injury lawyers who have been skirting federal regulations for years to try to get their clients compensation for using deadly products.

Personally, I have had more success with vinegar and chlorine than I have had with Roundup anyway.

Wolford v. Lopez was the second time in four years that the Supreme Court slapped Hawaii for attempting to undermine the Second Amendment. After the Supremes prohibited Hawaii from refusing to issue concealed carry permits across the board, the state’s radicals passed a law that prohibits anyone from carrying a firearm on private property. The Supreme Court, in a great respect for private property rights said that only the property owner can decide who gets to carry a firearm on his or her property. The state has absolutely no right to prohibit it. What a wonderful step toward restoring freedom.

In two cases this week, the Supreme Court supported the Trump Administration’s fulfillment of its constitutional requirement to enforce the law. In Mullen v. Doe, the Supreme Court overturned in order from the federal District Court that joined the Trump administration from proceeding with its decision to terminate to temporary protected status of all aliens in the United States. While delivering another blow to judicial activism, the court pointed out that the only way the Haitians who filed suit could win, would be to prove that the president was racist, but by their own admission, he could not be racist because he terminated the temporary status for ALL aliens. Another win for law and order, truth, justice, and the American way.

Similarly, the Court slammed the door on activist judges requiring the government to hear asylum claims from people attempting to enter the USA. In Mullen v. Al Otto Lado, the Court explained that when Congress amended the law to require people seeking asylum under the relevant statute be within the United States not just attempting to enter, they specifically excluded those attempting to enter the United States. Judges who disregard Congress’s specific intention and specific language have no place in a society governed by the Rule of Law. Another slam.

Now we need Congress to impeach those judges who continue to refuse to follow the law. The odds of that happening are about as good as the odds of Joe Biden remembering his own name.

A racist female basketball player gave Caitlin Clark the “George-Floyd” treatment after she was intentionally tripped to the floor by another player. The racist WNBA referees did not even call a foul.

Later, the WNBA brass could not believe what that they were watching as Clark hesitated to rise from the floor out of a fear that the on-court lynching would continue. The player who attempted murder was eventually given only a two-day suspension. The referees were on the court for a different game the following night.

Anybody who gives a penny to the WNBA is promoting racism and undermining American sportsmanship.

In New York, Pennsylvania, and Michigan communists who hate America won the democrat primary elections. They did show with on average only about 15% of the registered Democrats voting. To believe that they are indicative of the way most Americans feel is ridiculous, yet that is what is being promoted by the news media, also known as the propaganda wing of the communists.

If the GOP had any sense of what is going on, they would start running commercials now to educate Americans on the reality that communism has a 100% failure rate. The worst thing in the world that could happen to the United States would be for us to head down the socialism/communism trail.

The Republicans could even show pictures of the bread lines outside of empty stores in the Soviet Union. Maybe then people in New York would start wondering why they just spent $60 million on a single grocery store to be run by the government.

BTW, Publix, the largest grocery store chain in Florida, can build brand new stores for an average of about $1,300,000 each. Yes, that is more than $58 million less than the communist grocery store in New York.

Which one do you think has a better chance of providing the lowest cost to customers?
