Happy birthday to Jeff Beck, one of the Top Five GOAT guitarists in Rock& Roll, Fusion and Blues history.

Blow by Blow is Jeff Beck's first album credited to him as a solo artist. It was recorded in October 1974 and released via Epic Records in 1975. An instrumental album, it peaked at No. 4 on the American Billboard 200 and was certified platinum by the RIAA. I first heard the album after finishing my last Final Exam of my junior year at the University of Tulsa. My apartment was 3 blocks from campus. 1 block from campus was “Honest John’s Rock Shop”, advertised as the best record shop, Rock paraphernalia, and unusual smoking devices (whatever that means). The store employee pointed the album out to me, and I bought it on the spot. My roommate and a friend brought home Pizza to share and the next door neighbor was invited (he had the beer.
