I saw my neurosurgeon yesterday about my shoulder pain. The pain is in the shoulder that got replaced 6 years ago. He looked at the scans taken of my neck and turned the monitor so that I could see them as well. He pointed out that the most pressure on my spinal cord was at the base of my brain and that he couldn't fix that. He was very reluctant to do any surgery.
I have an appointment with my orthopedist to check the shoulder joint because that makes sense. However, I have decided not to have surgery. Maybe the orthopedist can give me exercises to do do. I have Lidocaine for the pain, so that will help.
I'm depressed because of the circumstances, but I'll be all right.

According to the Vidalia Onion Act of 1986, Vidalia onions can only be grown in a designated region of the U.S. state of Georgia. To be labeled a Vidalia onion, the onion must be grown within a specific 20-county production area in southeastern Georgia. Their famously sweet, mild flavor is attributed to the region's low-sulfur soil and favorable growing conditions, making them highly sought after by consumers nationwide.
Yesterday, I went in for surgery to remove some melanoma. The doctor said it looks like they got all of it with clear margins, so no further treatment needed this time. 😃
My first round with melanoma was at age 25, and it was a much larger tumor. So I'm relieved they caught this one early. But now I'm back to dermatologist checkups every 6 months, instead of annually.
Just a PSA .... a melanoma can look like a small dark brown to black mole with ragged edges on the surface, but this may hide a much larger tumor beneath the skin. It is the #1 diagnosed cancer in people from age 25-29. So check any skin moles that change or look irregular and make your kids aware too.
