On This Day In History 06/11/1776, the iconic path to American independence was forged. The Continental Congress appointed five men to draft a declaration of independence from Great Britain. The task fell to Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, Roger Sherman, and Robert R. Livingston.
Thomas Jefferson, known for his eloquent pen, took the lead in drafting the Declaration. This document would proclaim the colonies' breaking away and articulate the profound belief that all men are endowed with unalienable rights by their Creator.
The Declaration of Independence became a beacon of liberty, laying the philosophical foundation for the nation. Its adoption marked the birth of a new era, where freedom and religious faith intertwined to shape the country's destiny.

If the left wins in November, this is the reality to which we will be subjected .... political retribution and the undoing of all the policies Trump has implemented to help our nation's economic recovery and to protect us from foreign adversaries.
Remember that Venezuela changed from a wealthy, prosperous country to an impoverished nightmare after one single election. The US is not immune. And encouraging voter participation (which is often quite low at midterms) should be a GOP priority.
