Not much on basketball but I did play in middle school both 7th and 8th grade. It was a fun time. I also did track too but y’all know what my first love is… 🥎 always has and always will be but to talk about yesterdays segment from The Five…
So Greg got that text from his buddy about the Knicks and San Antonio basketball game. Doesn’t matter who won or lost to me because I’m not much into basketball and clearly neither is Greg lol 😂 I think Greg had a good point when he said along the line of let’s get into the same thing the Republicans are interested in so they’ll vote Democratic. Okay I may be into sports but I will never vote blue EVERRRRRR! Why are we trying to make sports so political? I don’t get it. These Dems need to cut this shit out man for real! I made some of the best relationships playing ball but the two that are my closest friends both sit on the same side that I do political wise that’s, god brought those two in my life but that’s just a bonus. I started playing as an 8 year old kid doing something that I loved but was too young to see a future out of it. As an 8 year old or even when I was an 18 year old playing I never saw politics at all while playing. I saw friendships being made, good hard and heavy structure, the grit to win and make myself better not only as an athlete but as a person because when I walk off that field I know I walked off the field with respect for myself knowing I did the best I could whether I won or lost. I know this may all sound “aww” and gooshy but it’s true. I never once talked about politics on that softball field or even when I was just watching a softball game on tv at our houses surrounded by my teammates. We never did that and I guess thats because none of that matter. On the field it was all about the game, nothing else. We also did a little shit talk if we had friends on the opposing team like high school but outside of high school all the girls on the opposing team were on my tournament teams and again we never talked about politics. Let me know if I’m missing the point here. Why are we trying to through sports into politics just to get votes?
I know Greg watches football sometimes but like he said we mainly talk about the real stuff in the outside world that matter more than sports to get the votes. That’s what gets republicans the votes is talking about the real shit that is happening outside of sports. Sports is only a temporary environment and then once the game is over, you go back home and the next day you go back to school and are in the classroom or at work. That’s the real world. So can the Dems just stop trying to find ways to get votes. You’ll get more votes when yall change yalls sickened minds to say no on abortion, no on guys playing in girl sports, no on illegal immigration, no on all these things and then you might get some more votes but don’t try and bring sports into politics please.
I wanna hear opinions… whatcha got?
Congratulations to @IMP85. Your Huli Huli recipe was chosen for tonight’s Sunday Suppers. After a fierce showdown between Imp amd @Arius-Trychus, the sugar won this round. I got the entries down to two and Mark chose the winner. Oh, and it was delicious. Sorry @Arius-Trychus, sweet always talks louder for Mark.
@Imp85, please keep an eye out for an email from a Gutter Team Member.
Thank you to everyone who shared recipes and helped keep my temporary “toaster oven, bbq, and crockpot era” alive. Here’s hoping to the kitchen face look flies by fast.
Congratulations to @ACDC_Guy and @Ted_Prohowich. Your questions were chosen for tonight’s Ask Greg and the panelists.
@ACDC_Guy What was your first make out song and what grade were you in?
@Ted_Prohowich Tell us about a time someone gave you advice you didn't follow. Was the outcome good, bad, or ugly?
