I just got done talking with my aunt and I don't think she realized we were complaining about the same things when it came to inflation, gas prices, cost of living, and on and on. Of course, she blames Trump. I might of enlightened her with my experiences, with what I saw, on my travels for the past several years. Blue state stuff. I think she was actually hearing me out? She was mad about housing costs. I told her to look at the blue states surrounding Pennsylvania (mass exodus). She complained about fracking (environmentalists crap). I surprised her and agreed with her that heating and electric costs are too high while the fracked gas is being exported (that's her dem governor's fault, apparently). She complained about gas prices (car and driver). Yes. Pennsylvania has one of the highest gas taxes in the country. What else do you want to complain about? Without including Trump. I directed every argument to the state and local level. Can't argue with that. I advised her to get out, like I have, and actually see with her own eyes that it is not Trump's fault and yes it is at the local and state levels across the US. And YES the nation is divided. And NO it is NOT Trump's fault.

Hey Gang, I made it back as I hoped I would. Being on medical leave for a few days, I missed a birthday of note and a second one of personal interest.
Yesterday, May 8 would have been birthday 100 for the great Don Rickles. He may have not been for everybody but I thought he was darned funny. Great stand-up work of his and always remember the films he was in. Darned good at that acting thing.
But on the personal level, it was my Dad's birthday as well; he'd a been 110. He was a great guy. Not gonna type a glowing tribute even though he's sure due one. Just gonna say that as a larger fella and using his name toward the nickname, he was known to my friends as "Big Leo". (an aside, Liz @EBrannan I've told you I'll always remember your grandson's name. Heck, Leo is my son's middle name)
Anywho, um, oh yeah, Rickles birthday. The first video is from President Ronald Reagans 2nd Inagural, a classic that's been shared in these part for some time. The second one was one of my Dad's favorite Tonight ...
