Ya know, if they are ripping AOC for her stupidity on "nobody earning" a billion dollars, and the fabulous Conservative members of The Five, I was stunned they never brought up the way she helped shut down the Amazon HQ. I AI'd it and this is what came up.

In February 2019, Amazon canceled plans for a New York City headquarters (HQ2) in Queens following intense backlash led by local activists and politicians, including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC), over $3 billion in proposed tax incentives. AOC celebrated the reversal, arguing that the public funds should be used for community services rather than corporate subsidies, which she termed "corporate greed".

Key details regarding AOC's role and the fallout include:
The Opposition: AOC and other progressive lawmakers argued that the subsidies should have been invested in schools, transit, and infrastructure rather than giving incentives to one of the world’s wealthiest companies.

The Reaction: AOC took a "victory lap" on social media when Amazon withdrew, arguing that the community successfully defeated "worker exploitation".

The Backlash: Critics, including local officials, argued this move cost New York 25,000 good-paying jobs and sent a message that job creators were not welcome.

Long-Term Criticism: Years later, organizations such as the Job Creators Network continued to criticize AOC for the lost opportunity, using billboards in Times Square to call out the impact on the local economy.

Resulting Situation: Amazon abandoned its Queens location, and subsequently, other areas like Arlington, Virginia, moved forward with hosting the corporate offices.Critics claimed the opposition was based on a misunderstanding of the tax deal, which was structured as incentives on future revenue rather than upfront cash. However, proponents of the opposition argued it was a necessary stand against corporate-led gentrification

No Kings - I don’t think so! Met ‘King Richard’ and Kyle Petty today in Maggie Valley NC during a stop on the Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America for Victory Junction. (2 pics)

I, in part, agree with Bernie, AOC, and their ilk about there shouldn't be billionaires.

I would like to get rid of the ones who fund protests, buy votes, install corrupt DAs and judges, push BS environmental issues, etc.

Ya know....Soros, Wyss, Steyer, Gates, Bloomberg, et al.

Greg: 'Musk creates things. Liberals are parasites on the creators. Jessika is a parasite on the Five's creativity.
