My imagining of Cole Allen today. ‘Gee I didn’t think I’d be alive to have to face prison😌. Ugh. But Judge Faruqui’s on my side. He just apologized to me. I think I’m feeling better😄’.
Decided to take the Pony Express Historic Byway (Hwy 36) through northern Kansas to drive back to South Dakota. The eastern portion was so beautiful with green rolling hills and cute historic towns. We stopped in Seneca for lunch and then did some sightseeing in Marysville, including the Pony Express Barn and Museum.
Marysville commissioned an artist to create black squirrel sculptures that are situated all over the town. Each one is painted in a theme to match the business or organization where it resides (such as flowers for the florist - see photos). It was fun seeing how many we could find around the city. 😃
