Today I took the train to the next stop at Hilversum. I walked to a park, the Pinetum Blijdenstein. It was nestled in a quiet neighborhood of narrow streets with large homes inside manicured hedges. The weather wasn’t great, in the 50s with a few sprinkles here and there. I took my sketchbook, but instead settled for some photos.
I was curious to check out the local McDonald’s. It seems to be a popular spot for young people. After knocking over my drink into my sweatshirt and jeans, a young man helped out by getting a towel to sop up the mess. Then he insisted on getting me another soda, even though I tried to talk him out of it.
I’m currently running another load of laundry. I haven’t yet decided where I will go tomorrow.
