I apologize for dropping out of the Gutter. I've been in a rough spot for a while, and am now getting my feet back under me. My medications have been changed, and should help my outlook. The weather is starting to warm up and that should help my joints.
Charlie does his best to entertain me, and having him snuggle up next to me helps me sleep. He's so smart, and understands almost everything I say. I need to make a list of words and phrases he knows. I have a feeling that he knows more words than our previous dogs.

Hard to believe it has been almost 13 years since I became single again. I've accomplished a lot. I became a shut-in so I could pay off the massive marital debt. It took 9.5 years, but I did it.
The downfall of having good credit when you marry. Almost everything was in my name.
Now I'm able to save and then get work done around here for an eventual home sale.
I've seen my boys grow up into good men and I've said goodbye to a lot of the rescued fur kids whose long time on earth came to an end here.
I kept my head above water and didn't let the sad get me down.
I did it. I'm almost done. Now to find a final home at a reasonable price in a RED state and I'm set.
It will happen. Just need patience.

It was just a coincidence that Gabriel would visit him in his bed chamber. It was also just a coincidence that Gabriel would take on the visage of ‘Dihya ibn Khalifa al-Kalbi’. A companion of Mohammad’s, whom was declared to be exceptionally handsome.
One night, as the ‘Angel Gabriel’ was to visit Mohammad in his bedchamber. A dog that had been allowed into the house, barked at ‘Gabriel’ scaring him away.
In order to keep this from happening again, not only did Mohammad ban dogs from homes, he declared them unclean. He even went so far as to declare ‘black dogs’ to be demons in disguise.
There then was a wholesale slaughter of dogs across the Muslim controlled lands.
All because a dog gave away the homosexual liaison between Mohammad and his pretty, boy toy…
