Watching Aerial America on Pluto TV...

I believe watching Aerial America started this travel odyssey my wife and I are on. I lit a match under my feet and got me moving again. I had a machine shop for about fifteen years, starting in the early 2000s. Being stuck in a small town, I felt the need to do something about that. Government contract work came to mind and I quickly dismissed that route. I'm sure my wife felt the same way. She met me when I was still traveling and set her sights on doing that. And here we are traveling this great country. 🇺🇲

Today marks five years since Rush Limbaugh passed away. I miss him very much, and wish he was still here sharing his thoughts in his own special way.

“Ensconced in Pensacola”

We arrived around 18:00 hrs.
I had over 8 hours of ‘seat time’.
That means ATL (ass to leather).
We stayed to the US and state highways. I really don’t like riding Interstates on a scooter.
I set my gps to avoid tolls and highways. This takes me through small town rural America. In this case it was about 2 hours longer.
Toward the end of the ride, whenever I encountered a red light. I stood for the entire stop, just to remember;

“Sometimes I think it's a shame
When I get feeling better, when I'm feeling no pain.”

My lovely bride, navigator par excellence, would select a distance of between 80-125 miles, usually a gas station, on the right.
Yes, she’s that good.
We would meet there, and I’d top off my tank. Get a drink etc.

Riding to Atlanta GA in a day or two.
