“Making like a baby”
And heading out.
Our month long stay here in St Pete has come to an end. We are going to Pensacola for a few days to visit my big sister and Miguelito. Then on to Atlanta.
I’ve taken the decision not to trailer the scoot. I will ride it to Pensacola and then to Atlanta. My beautiful bride will drive my little black truck, The Dude, as a ‘chase’ vehicle.
We will have several planned stops to meet up, so I can get fuel. Once The Dude has been filled up, he could make both legs of the trip with fuel to spare. The scoot only has a 5.5 gal tank, and gets about 35 miles to the gallon. Also, I don’t like it to get much below 1/2 a tank, which is about 1 1/2 hours of riding any away.
We are going by the Prodigals new place so I can repair a counter top this morning. I couldn’t do it over the weekend because they’d just had their wood floors refinished. We couldn’t walk on them until today.
