If people want you to stop using the word retard, they should acknowledge what a woman is, and isn't.
Also the left totally forgot about that word because they moved on to other words. Which they are likely to forget about later. Since you couldn't stop people without a totalitarian society it was generally agreed the word was alright as long as you're talking about a politician.
