The best to be said is that you won't miss a visit from this particular king, or the one to follow. For the next several decades the Crown will be in the hands of... well, you've really got to wonder.
Even so, I'm afraid that DJT has gone about things viz Greenland in such a way that has united Right and Left.
There were better, easier ways to do this that would have made Greenland the 51st state in all but name. Everybody could have won something, and the West be made incomparably safer than it feels today.
I suspect much of this is about Trump, knowing full well that no western European country has any intention of meeting the real world defence spending targets DJT has quite rightly insisted upon.
What they are doing, as I have said here many times, is folding as much from their civil spending budgets into their "defence" budgets as they can, without so much as kitting out one extra soldier, and putting the 2030s - when they hope that Trump and Trumpism will be long gone - as their target dates for achieving a 5% defence spending they have not the least intention of ever meeting.
So DJT is looking out for the Western Hemisphere, the American hemisphere, regardless of what European politicians - and their sorely misled publics - think. You should thank him for that much.
Of course it doesn't play well here. You can rely on a Trump-loathing liberal media for that, a media which is leading what passes for "the Right" by the nose.
Incidentally, do you know how many British troops our plank-of-wood-alike prime minister, Keir Starmer - he who is always filmed and photographed with the Union flag in the background - intend to send to Greenland?

Morning Gutter Gang. Got no jokes or upbeat music for you this morning (save the sarcasm, eh?) but I do have decent news from Sedalia, Missouri from non other than MO Conner that JC @johnconner2046 is "OK".
As MO stated to me they have endured some "sad life happenings" of late. I know that MO lost a much loved uncle before Thanksgiving and that JC lost a nephew around the same time. That young man was just days from turning 41. They've also lost another nephew since then. As MO says, it's a sad time. She stated that's probably why he hasn't been around here. She is appreciative for our caring so much about JC and as MO says, but we all knew, "he's a gentle man".
That's all I got gang. So if you're so inclined to say a prayer, some kind thoughts, a chant or incantation even for the memory of those souls who have passed from the Conners lives and also for JC and MO that they continue to heal, that would be swell.
So, maybe I have one quick one...
