Pretty amazing when you stop and think, we were in 1st grade, out until the street lights came on and doing all kinds of wild stuff.
Jump off the swings when they reached the highest point, jump off the seesaw so your buddy got butt hurt and slide down slides, which burned the shit out of your legs!

I don’t need to tell you that it was probably the hardest time of my life and not having family except for a cousin and her family in Pennsylvania made it even harder. it was truly friends who got me through it, a great number of whom are on this platform. You all made me feel like I was seen and understood. The connection I have with you all was one of the most important things to me then. The sort of kindness you showed me was wonderful. My in real life friends came through for me too, making me feel a lot less alone. We each have a gift, a unique one, the ability to touch someone’s life and improve it in a singular way that is our own. Hopefully, people will remember to do that, as you did with me.
