The whole democrat strategy could be called false alarmism. Emergencies generate concern which makes it effective. They got in so deep with it there's nothing else to do. They gave someone they called Hitler all the power and then immediately started complaining about Hitler again.
A variation of the boy who called wolf. I feel a bit sorry for the people who totally buy into it. They make screaming videos in their cars.

Watching my dvr of The Five. They’re discussing (again!) NYC and Mommidammit. And Cea Weaver, one of Mommi’s cabinet members. In 2021 she said she would like us to do away w or limit private home ownership. Rrrrighhhht.🤔
Speaking strictly about NYC — I would say first, if you can’t afford to live in the most expensive city in the US, MOVE. Go live somewhere else. People do ‘move house’. A lot of us have - for a better opportunity, for school, to be near (or far from) family. Does a city like that have to become communist to not be so expensive? Gotta be something better than what they have been doing. If they can’t and give in to Mommi - they deserve the consequences.
