We just bought a few acres of land in Sturgis where we plan to build our "forever home" after my husband retires in 3 years. We have been looking for about 2 years because we wanted something on a hill (to keep our beautiful views) but didn't want to pay 6 figures just for a lot.

I have a lot to say with this Chicago police order to stop the response to a SHOOTING ON THE STREETS OF CHICAGO , regardless who is involved . I spent 30 years on the streets of Chicago as a paramedic and a fireman ( CFD ) not a private ambulance. I grew up in the 9th district ,I worked in the 9th district . My four children and four grandchildren still live in the 9th district . I havea long history and skin in this game . I worked along side the Chicago police department members . Believe me when I say , every officer responding to that call for help was going lights and siren . I listened to the entire radio transition of the call . Even 999 ,the chief of patrol was supportive, but at one point he informs the dispatcher, " give me five minutes " . He said that because he recieved a cell phone call by upper echelon. He then came back with the order " all responding units stop responding " . Believe me when I tell you this order came directly from Mayor Johnson . Even if you do ...
