An Interesting Bit of World History -
Treaty of Versailles
The Treaty of Versailles was a peace document signed at the end of World War I by the Allied and Associated Powers and by Germany in the Hall of Mirrors in the Palace of Versailles, France. It took effect on January 10, 1920. The population and territory of Germany was reduced by about 10 percent by the treaty. The "war guilt clause" of the treaty deemed Germany the aggressor in the war and consequently made Germany responsible for making reparations to the Allied nations in payment for the losses and damage they had sustained in the war. The Treaty of Versailles was revised and altered over the years, mostly in Germany's favor. Numerous concessions were made to Germany before the rise of Adolf Hitler, and by 1938 only the territorial settlement articles remained in effect. The harsh treaty and its lax enforcement are blamed by many historians for Hitler's rise and his militarism setting the stage for World War II.
At 3:30 a.m. a car was parked in the middle of the T-intersection on our side street with the car running and driver's door open, and a guy was dribbling a basketball in the middle of the street for over 10 minutes. My husband called the police right away, and they never showed. WTF. I think he was casing the area to see if he made noise, would anyone in the houses hear him? Probably will be back for some catalytic converters soon. This is when I hate living in the city. The sh*t that goes on in the middle of the night while the law abiding citizens are asleep.
Trump said something like this on Maria B show....
Not a quote
We have companies coming in and they will need electricity. Trump tells them they will also become a "utility" company - he wants them to build their own power plant and not rely on the OLD Electric grid.
Those words are not exact but my interpretation. Each company will be an electricity producing self-sufficient entity not dependent on anyone. They asked if he can "do that" and he wants to try. If that can be done it's a brilliant solution / idea to help the ongoing evolution of future human needs for power sources.
