Regarding my previous spoof post of sea shells in the mountains off Lake Bonneville, I looked up some maps.
I drilled holes in south central Montana back in 2009 or so. We were pulling up sea shells in the core samples from a mountain top on the crow Indian reservation.
The USGS geologists on the project said it was the edge of that ancient lake. Current theoretical maps don’t put the edge that far into ID, WY or MT.
Sea shells there non the less. 300 ft down from a mountain top.
Congratulations to @Frenchi. Your question was chosen for tonight’s Ask Greg.
@frenchi: What uncomfortable place you ended up waking up to the next day after a late night out ?
About to start Jacksonville with Tom Shillue and Jeff Dye. Great show and amazing crowd last night despite Tom’s performance. And thank you for all the gifts…. I’m sure Gus will look great in the onesie.
