My husband got to visit the Akan Ainu village yesterday. I love owls (have art and statues all over my house), and the owl is seen as the symbol of knowledge and wisdom in the Ainu culture.
So he bought an owl wood sculpture for me as a birthday present, and had the carver engrave the date on the bottom. 🥰
I'm hoping to feel well enough tomorrow to make our Sapporo excursion. 🤞
BTW, eggs were $3.99 to $5.99 per dozen today, and they had tons of them. We can probably check "reduce price of eggs" off Trump's "to do" list.
