Mark and I went for a hike at Shell Ridge Open Space in Walnut Creek today, and the weather felt tropical. Beautiful clouds and warm. It was absolutely beautiful!
I did, however, make the strategic decision to stay a good distance behind Mark—not because I needed the exercise, but because he was on the phone making a customer complaint. 😂. I think complaining, justified though, gives him a natural high.
I was there to enjoy the beautiful scenery, the fresh air, and this gorgeous protected open space. I had no interest in adding “listen to Mark complain” to my Friday itinerary.
Sometimes a little distance is good for a marriage. Especially when one person is on hold. 😂
How was your Friday?
Not much going on this weekend, have a few things to do like assemble a reading lamp by my recliner because I have a stack of books to read. Husband isn't feeling that great the past couple of days, we did our usual trip to Menards (home improvement) and lunch yesterday and it was a beautiful day. I'm just leaving him alone to rest. Am also going to take my laptop to the yard and catch up on bills and paperwork. It's cloudy and high 70s today which is perfect. Starting tomorrow, we are getting a few 90-degree days, which hopefully will perk up some of the dying flowers. Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend and I am grateful for this site and all of you! JM
