I’ve been an inactive dog foster for almost two years, but in the midst of a cycling class last Monday I saw a notification from from the rescue group that this beautiful boy was due to be euthanized that day. I immediately offered to take him. He was in a high kill county animal shelter 90 minutes away. Another foster made the trip to get him. He is 9 months old and looks to be a cross between a Doberman and a Viszla. He was an owner surrender 😡. Still a puppy, he is an absolute dream. Smart and affectionate. As soon as he’s cleared for adoption, I don’t think I’ll have him for very long.

Kristin took Stetson to Pet Smart the other day to get his nails trimmed. He did so well he practically handed the groomer his paws. She thought he did so well he got treats and a toy - he picked out a sea turtle and he had such a good time by the time he got in the car to leave he was out. And Maxwell missed him so much he sat by the downstairs door every time he thought he heard Kristin's car.

Good morning one and all of my American cousins.

I wish I had something interesting to report from this side of the Pond, but I don't. Keir Starmer is so boring that everybody over the age of four has died.

Instead let's go back to 80 years ago today and the final few weeks of WWII, this snapshot courtesy of the London News Chronicle. All four pages (all they were allowed due to war-time restrictions).
