The ‘Blood Moon’
We stayed up to see the ‘Blood Moon’.
We watched several movies waiting for it.
It started at 01:09 and finally completed around 03:00 in Northwestern GA.
Pictures: at 02:00, and the final four at 03:10 or so, the moon was completely red, but only appears partial in the photos.

On April 11, 1900, the U.S. Navy officially acquired its first functional submarine, the USS Holland (SS-1), designed by Irish immigrant John Philip Holland. The 53-foot 10-inch vessel (often cited as 53 or 54 feet) was commissioned later that year on October 12, 1900, at Newport, R.I.. It was the first to combine electric motors for submerged travel and gasoline engines for surface cruising, setting the standard for modern submarines.
