Zelensky is asking for the one thing Trump will not provide. Security Guarantee.

Getting dragged into a war is something Trump has vowed not to do, and providing security guarantee from the US is the same as if Ukraine joined NATO...except it would be just us on the hook.

Once we "Guarantee" Ukraine's security...we are on the hook, and that is not going to happen.

Curious as to see how this ends, will Putin see this as an opportunity to ramp up? Not that he has the troops or machinery either. Both sides seem spent,,,with Russia dragging North Korean troops into this.

Not to be cynical, but it seemed that the US desire was to have a forever war, so they could just keep selling arms(military industrial complex anyone?), with kickbacks and payoffs continuing. This stops with Trump.
