Happy Easter Weekend Gutter 🐥

We’re keeping it low-key with friends for an early Easter brunch. I’m bringing, everything homemade,blueberry scones with lemon curd and vanilla ice cream… to be paired with a Bakery-bought pie. Yes, I said it—high end bakery-bought pie. Pie-making confidence level: still hovering somewhere below “crumble.”

On This Day In Horror

On April 3, 1968 “Planet of the Apes” was released in theaters! Directed by Franklin J. Schaffner (Patton) from a screenplay by Michael Wilson (The Bridge on the River Kwai) and Rod Serling (of Twilight Zone fame), and loosely based on the 1963 novel by Pierre Boulle. The film stars Charlton Heston, Roddy McDowall, Kim Hunter, Maurice Evans, James Whitmore, James Daly, Robert Gunner, and Linda Harrison. In the film, an astronaut crew crash-lands on a strange planet in the distant future. Although the planet appears desolate at first, the surviving crew members stumble upon a society in which apes have evolved into creatures with human-like intelligence and speech. The apes have assumed the role of the dominant species and humans are mute primitives wearing animal skins.
