Morning Gutter Gang. I knew I'd make it back to the Gutter by the weekend. The Gutter is like the Mafia; whenever you are away from it for a bit, it just draws you back in.
Anyhow, with a nearly $500 million cost for construction, New York's Belmont Raceway is closed this year for refurbishment and modernization. But $500 million? Only in New York.
So the Belmont Stakes is moved up to the Saratoga Raceway for the race and what would be Belmont's Spring racing schedule. To celebrate The Belmont coming up to Saratoga, they've scheduled multiple festivities for that week, one of which is a concert at the City Square headlining Fitz and the Tantrums. WHO, you might ask? I remember the name cuz the grands sing and clap along to the upcoming tune. Damnit. Oh well, they'll outgrow it.
