I don't understand how the FBI can say the three people planting IEDs are NOT involved with the driver. I hope they are just saying that to the public to "smoke them out".

Johnny Joey Jones commented about this on The Big Weekend Show yesterday and stated the deer stand is in Florida and a lot of folks hunt there.
The one thing I recall is that hunting is not allowed within a specified distance of airports. In Florida it is 1,000 feet, except as noted for certain areas. That would not a difficult shot for many people. However, none of the articles cited the distance to the airport.
