Why does the GOP have so much of a problem with keeping members in line? Pelosi never did, They voted as a solid block with no defections. What's the difference?
Answer is simple...there are members of the GOP with integrity who want NOTHING tangible. They cannot be bribed with a quid pro quo of "you give me money for this and I give you money for that"
They do not want "stuff", they want the opposite of stuff...they want a balanced budeget and to shut down agencies. They want to NOT spend money. They want to balance the budget.
It is hard to sway somebody who wants nothing.
Democrats can always be bribed, they will always say..."Hey, I think your project is a total waste of money, but if I vote for yours, will you vote for mine?" And the answer is always "yeah, sure" and it results in 1500 page CR's
And for the Democrats/Left/Liberal/Progressive/Socialist/Communist/Woke, there is always a deal to be made...because they never worry about the money or how much they spend...because it is not their money...it is the taxpayers money...or worse...they believe the government can simply print money and there will be no consequences.
I technically don't have a problem shutting down the Government...AFTER...they get Trump in office so he can start using the Executive Branch's power to slam closed the Border.
C'mon boys and girls. Accept Johnson and then have your fight.

@Dylwa77 If you were granted a wish to learn the truth about one controversial event, what would it be?
@APalm Do you remember a time that you succumbed to peer pressure, or resisted it?

My moms art
When I was a kid my mom would do arts amd crafts. We had an entire basement full of crap. Projects she wanted to do. Tons of magazines that had projects in them. She would keep the whole magazine rather than tearing out the project.
We had old musical instruments. Violins clarinets and even a huge bass drum.
But my favorite project was this map of the world in which she took an ancient map of the world on a 5x7 card and blew It up to several feet. She used Elmer's glue to place shoe strings to lay out the lands. She put in crushed gravel and glass to fill in landmarks. If she saw a wreck she would rush over and grab the broken tail lights (they were made of glass then) and she even went to the city and got Some damaged tradfic light. glass. The green light is actually blue. She would put this glass in the oven and heat it up the put ice on it to crack it up further.
She also discovered the Dymo label maker.
After my mom passed my stepsister kept the map as she liked it and ...
Getting ready for this very special Independence Day. I’m more than grateful for everything we have and am extremely proud of our current commander in chief. Want it to never end, especially after being stuck/screwed with his fool of a predecessor. We the people are blessed, even those who can’t think for themselves and refuse to understand. 🇺🇸
(I hate Amazon because I love it…it’s just too easy, damn it! 😁)
