Why does the GOP have so much of a problem with keeping members in line? Pelosi never did, They voted as a solid block with no defections. What's the difference?
Answer is simple...there are members of the GOP with integrity who want NOTHING tangible. They cannot be bribed with a quid pro quo of "you give me money for this and I give you money for that"
They do not want "stuff", they want the opposite of stuff...they want a balanced budeget and to shut down agencies. They want to NOT spend money. They want to balance the budget.
It is hard to sway somebody who wants nothing.
Democrats can always be bribed, they will always say..."Hey, I think your project is a total waste of money, but if I vote for yours, will you vote for mine?" And the answer is always "yeah, sure" and it results in 1500 page CR's
And for the Democrats/Left/Liberal/Progressive/Socialist/Communist/Woke, there is always a deal to be made...because they never worry about the money or how much they spend...because it is not their money...it is the taxpayers money...or worse...they believe the government can simply print money and there will be no consequences.
I technically don't have a problem shutting down the Government...AFTER...they get Trump in office so he can start using the Executive Branch's power to slam closed the Border.
C'mon boys and girls. Accept Johnson and then have your fight.

We attended a memorial for Charlie Kirk tonight in Midlothian Texas, south of Arlington- population about 35,000. They estimated 5000 in attendance. It was organized by a group of high school students. It made the hairs on my arm stand up. So refreshing to see this large gathering of people, a lot of them high school and college age, showing up. Maybe the tragedy will gives these kids the courage to continue Turning Points mission. So glad my wife and I went.
The judge asked the woman what she stole. She replied, “I stole a can of peaches.”
The judge then asked, “how many peaches were in the can?”
“Six,” replied the woman.
After consideration, the judge decided to sentence her one night of prison for every peach she stole. Six nights total.
At this moment the woman felt helpless, bawling her eyes out, she didn’t know what to do.
And before the judge smacked the mallet down to make it final, her husband entered into the courtroom and yelled, “your honor, wait!”
The judge froze and listened to what the husband wanted to say.
“She also stole a can of peas!”
