According to Anna Paulina Luna on one of the Fox shows last night, Thune does not like to receive calls about passing the Save America Act. Those of you in red states could contact your senators. It's a lost cause here in IL. I am going to call and e-mail Thune tonight about getting off his butt and bringing the Save Act to a vote. I hope you will all consider doing the same. Without it, the dems have a very good chance of winning the mid-terms. We only have 6 months left under republican majority, and it is being squandered. Wishing everyone a great day!!

Some more musical fun -

"Sugar, Sugar" by The Archies was the No. 1 hit of 1969 performed by a cartoon band. Released in 1969, this bubblegum pop song from The Archie Show topped the Billboard Hot 100 for four weeks, ultimately becoming the number-one single of the entire year.

The Band: The Archies (from Archie Comics/The Archie Show).

The Song: "Sugar, Sugar" (released 1969).

Production: The song was created by producer Don Kirshner and recorded by studio musicians, including lead vocalist Ron Dante, rather than a real touring band.

Success: It was not only a US hit but also topped charts in the UK, Mexico, Canada, Germany, and other countries.

I am having breakfast at my little hotel, sitting by the window. The Rhône River is beyond the wall. A group of visitors just passed by with a tour guide.
I am fascinated by the French version of a speed bump. Vehicles have to wait for the barrier to lower before passing through.
