I've been absent from the Gutter a few days.
We came up to the Dallas area on Friday to see my 2nd mom, Jimmie - my best friend's mom from when Christie was 4, I was 5 and Debbie was 8 - for her 90th birthday, to see relatives and spend some time with my friend Karen who lost her husband Clyde, a Marine Vet, to a sudden heart attack in June. When we got in touch with Christie, she told me they were in Denton because Jimmie had had Afib and high blood pressure up in Oklahoma and Denton had the first hospital that worked for her. We were able to cancel Saturday and move to the hotel in Denton, where Karen lives and we were going the next day anyway. Jimmie's still in the hospital. Hopefully, she'll get out tomorrow and go home to near Midlothian. We're here til early Wed morning so we can see everyone else. But I feel so blessed that she is better and I have had a chance to visit with her and the family. Please, if you pray, please pray for Jimmie to be well enough to go home and for...
