AI is not inherently evil or dangerous. AI is a tool. If I put a hammer, meat cleaver and bottle of pesticide on the table, none of them will kill you on their own volition. They become deadly only when used for that purpose. So. If we don't really want AI to start a nuclear war, don't put it in charge of the bombs. If you don't want AI crashing the economy, don't put it in charge of the banking system. If you don't want AI to kill us all, don't relinquish control of those systems that can achieve that. If you don't want The Robot to eat you, don't give it a fork and knife and sit on its plate!!
