Harold always talks about pushing back the age to receive SS to 70. That is because he can afford to! My husband and I are years away from this and it will probably be gone altogether by the time we are eligible, and we are fortunate enough where we probably won’t rely on SS. 🙏 But the average life expectancy for men in the US is 75 and women 81, and many will rely on these payments to get through their golden years, with the extensive real estate tax hikes, cost of living increases, and medical issues. Many proud people that never took a dime from the government, but made do and just got by, some doing highly labor intensive jobs, deserve to have more than five years of their SS after being required to participate since they were 16-not go without because of government mismanagement. Harold talks from privilege too often.
And I also don’t agree with the government handout from Trump that is, let’s face it, for votes. Put excess toward the SS problem or paying down the deficit...
