I spotted some creepy little eggs nestled on one of the tomato branches. I reached in to hold the branch for Mark to cut. BIG MISTAKE. Turns out the “branch” was a tomato hornworm, and when it moved, I screamed, jumped, and apparently decided gardening was officially over for the day. 😂
Let’s just say the tomatoes can fend for themselves. I’m going inside

375 mile, 4 state day (SD, IA, NB, MO).
We got out of Mitchell SD late today, even for us.
Almost 11:30 am.
Last night around 02:00, the sky opened, and announced ‘The End of the World’.
“Thunder, lightning
Very very exciting
Knock on wood!”
No wood knocking, but the thunder and lightning were exciting, sounding like it was directly on top of us.
Then came the deluge.
Like ‘pouring piss from a boot’.
It wasn’t a downpour, it was waves crashing ashore.
This morning we arose around 06:00, to find our rig sitting in a foot of water.
We therefore waited for the water to drain off.
No, no it didn’t., it stayed mostly ankle deep on me.
I then ‘broke camp’ wearing flip flops. Luckily the service (driver’s) side was just mud and grass that had recently been cut.
I disconnected all of our services while my bride prepped the interior.
My flip flops were now the size of snow shoes, a combination of red mud and grass clippings. We ...
