So tell me, what was your milestone work anniversary gift?
Decided to take the Pony Express Historic Byway (Hwy 36) through northern Kansas to drive back to South Dakota. The eastern portion was so beautiful with green rolling hills and cute historic towns. We stopped in Seneca for lunch and then did some sightseeing in Marysville, including the Pony Express Barn and Museum.
Marysville commissioned an artist to create black squirrel sculptures that are situated all over the town. Each one is painted in a theme to match the business or organization where it resides (such as flowers for the florist - see photos). It was fun seeing how many we could find around the city. 😃
We have spent the night in Reno, NV. The only nice people are the chamber maids and breakfast ladies, hispanic of course, and lovely.
Everyone else would rather not be forced into doing hospitality with you.
It's humid and much colder than Idaho which was my perfect weather - cool, dry, quiet.
GAWD I want to turn around and go back to Idaho. 😞
But, it's time to get ready to head back to Huntington Beach and go back to Idaho another day.
