Tonight I’m making Cook’s Illustrated Warm Bread Salad. A roasted chicken cooked right on top of cubes of rustic sourdough bread, soaking up all those delicious chicken drippings. Once everything is roasted, it’s served over mixed greens with crispy croutons.
The recipe calls for arugula, but nobody in this house likes that stuff. We prefer our salad without the taste of lawn clippings.

Couple hours ago they opened this temporary, Northbound only, part of Highway 12. The Nor'Easter completely undermined the blacktop and annihilated the road. Crews have been working nonstop. Thousands of tourists have been stranded South of this section. Good on these guys and the kindness of the locals who brought food and water to the stranded folks in line
